Ajax are reportedly putting together a financial package to bring Rafael van der Vaart back to the Dutch outfit this summer.
The 32-year-old spent 12 years with Ajax before leaving for Hamburger SV in 2005. The midfielder is currently in his second spell with Hamburg, but his contract expires at the end of this season.
According to Ajax1, the Dutch club's representatives will soon approach their former midfielder over a move this summer.
The former Netherlands international has also played for Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur during an illustrious career.
A number of other European clubs are also said to be monitoring developments.
