AC Milan are reportedly attempting to negotiate a deal with Leicester City for Patson Daka.
When the forward moved to the King Power Stadium in 2021, it was deemed to be one of the coups of that particular transfer window, Daka having starred for Red Bull Salzburg.
However, despite the Foxes shelling out an alleged £23m on the Zambia international, the deal has not worked out as planned for all concerned.
The 24-year-old was reduced to 26 starts and 27 substitute outings in the Premier League before Leicester were relegated to the Championship earlier this year.
Daka's return of nine goals and seven assists during that period is respectable enough, while a further six goals and one assist have come in other competitions.

Nevertheless, he found himself in and out of the side on a regular basis, and both Leicester and the player appear ready to go their separate ways.
According to Sky Sports News, Milan are now looking to agree a deal with their Leicester counterparts on transfer deadline day.
Milan have been left on a hectic search for a new forward having failed to push through the transfer of Mehdi Taremi from Porto.
An alleged effort to sign Sasa Kalajdzic was rejected by Wolverhampton Wanderers, but there now appears to be a possibility of Daka moving to San Siro.
The report says that Milan would prefer to sign Daka on loan with an option to buy, but it is unclear as to whether Leicester will accept those terms at this stage.
A number of Premier League clubs are also said to be monitoring the situation, aware that Daka has not featured under Enzo Maresca in the Championship and is out of favour.
