M'Baye Niang ready to face Napoli

AC Milan youngster M'Baye Niang declares himself fit to face Serie A table-topper Napoli this weekend.

AC Milan striker M'Baye Niang has declared that he is ready to come in and help ease the club's injury crisis against in-form Napoli on Sunday.

A clerical error ruled Niang out of contention for Milan's Champions League opener with Celtic on Wednesday, with the French forward mistakenly left out of the club's 25-man squad for the competition.

Massimiliano Allegri's men won the game 2-0 despite being without nine first-team regulars, with the 18-year-old insisting that he has fully recovered injury and wants to face Napoli on Sunday.

He told the Milan channel: "I'm available for selection. I'm training well and I feel fit. When the coach calls on me, I'll try and give my all.

"I can offer my qualities to the team to win games, but there are other players besides me who are helping the team.

"I've already played as a central striker in France so that's not a new role for me so I can do whatever the coach asks of me."

Allegri's side go into the clash with one win from their three Serie A fixtures, while Napoli travel to the San Siro on a run of four successive wins in all competitions.
