Italian side AC Milan have reportedly offered Pep Guardiola the chance to take over as coach of the club next season.
The 41-year-old is currently in the middle of a 12-month sabbatical away from the game following a trophy-laden four-year stint in charge of Spanish outfit Barcelona.
Speculation had claimed that European champions Chelsea were monitoring the Spaniard's situation closely.
However, Milan are now hoping to persuade him to replace Massimiliano Allegri, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
The reporter, who is a known acquaintance of Guardiola, has claimed that Milan have offered the coach a four-year deal worth around £4.5m each year.
Balague also added that the Premier League remains Guardiola's preferred destination at this moment.
