AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani says that Massimiliano Allegri's job is safe - for now.

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has denied that Massimiliano Allegri's job is on the line against Udinese on Sunday.

The Rossoneri have endured a wretched start to the season, losing both of their home games against Sampdoria and Atalanta respectively.

They were also held to a 0-0 draw against Anderlecht in their opening Champions League fixture at the San Siro.

Galliani said that he has spoken with president Silvio Berlusconi and has persuaded the former Italian Prime Minister to keep faith with Allegri.

"Any coach in the world would be at risk if he lost 10 games in a row, but that's not the case here and we don't want it to happen to us," Football Italia has quoted Galliani as saying.

"The faith that we have in Allegri won't expire on Sunday in Udine.

"As for Berlusconi, we have known each other for 33 years so there is no possibility of any misunderstanding between us."

Allegri took charge of Milan in 2010.
