Aberdeen confirm David Goodwillie signing

Aberdeen complete the signing of former Blackburn Rovers striker David Goodwillie on a one-year contract.

Aberdeen have confirmed the signing of former Blackburn Rovers striker David Goodwillie on a one-year deal.

The 25-year-old joins the Scottish Premiership side on a free transfer following his release from Ewood Park at the end of last season.

"I'm delighted to have secured the signature of David. He's a striker who has a real capability and it's up to us as a staff and him as a player to get the very best from him," Dons boss Derek McInnes told the club's official website.

Goodwillie, who joined Blackburn in 2011, has spent the past three seasons on loan at Crystal Palace, Dundee United and Blackpool respectively.
