ITV reportedly decides to pause plans for a second series of the travelogue series featuring the Thomas brothers due to coronavirus.

ITV has reportedly decided to pause plans for a second series of a travelogue documentary series featuring the Thomas brothers.

Absolutely India: Mancs In Mumbai, a six-part series which aired last year, followed Ryan Thomas, Adam Thomas and Scott Thomas as they visited India with their father Dougie James to learn more about their heritage.

ITV was keen to commission a second series following the boys - sadly without their father, who has since died - as they travelled around the Caribbean, but the ongoing problems caused by coronavirus have made it impractical.

"It's a shame for the lads as they seemed to go down well before, and ITV were keen for a second series," a source told The Sun.

"Discussions about what a second series would entail had taken place, and the plan was for them to go to South America and take their mum with them.

"Unfortunately, with COVID-19 and ever tightening budgets, a decision was made to put this one on ice for the foreseeable future.

"They're keen to work with all three boys in the future so are thinking what else they could do that doesn't necessarily involve flying around the world."

The first series remains available to watch on the ITV Hub.
