Katie Price reveals son Harvey has self-harmed

Katie Price reveals that her son Harvey Price has self-harmed in the past.

Katie Price has revealed that her disabled son Harvey Price has scars as a result of self-harming.

The 18-year-old is severely disabled, suffering from autism, partial blindness and a medical condition that causes extreme weight gain - and in a new one-off documentary for the BBC, Katie opens up on Harvey's struggles.

At one point in the programme she visits a close friend who specialises in care for autistic children who warns that Harvey could turn to self-harm.

Katie then admits that he has already self-harmed, saying: "He does that when he gets anxiety. He's got all scars... [from] when he gets worried."

Earlier this month Katie revealed that she has decided that later this year Harvey will move into a residential care college in order to give him the best chance of finding independence.

Katie Price: Harvey and Me airs Monday at 8.30pm on BBC One.
