The BBC releases a new short film under the banner "Bringing Us Closer".

The BBC has released a new short film narrated by Idris Elba under the banner "Bringing Us Closer".

The 90-second short, which is being shown on BBC TV channels, the iPlayer and BBC Sounds, features a montage of NHS and other key workers interspersed with clips from key BBC shows.

Alongside the video, Luther actor Elba recites the comforting poem 'Don't Quit' by Edgar Guest, culminating with a reminder that "together, we'll get through".

Kerris Bright, the BBC's chief customer officer, said: "At a time when people are apart we wanted to focus on the things which actually, are bringing us together. We hope this BBC film does that, and reinforces the things which connect us in these difficult times."
