Our Girl actress Michelle Keegan is reportedly the top target for Strictly Come Dancing producers.

Our Girl actress Michelle Keegan is reportedly top of the producer wishlist for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The 32-year-old has already filmed her final scenes for the BBC military drama, having announced her decision to quit earlier this year, and is believed to be on the lookout for new projects.

According to The Sun, Keegan has always fancied a role on Strictly but has previously found it difficult to take part due to her stint on Coronation Street.

"Michelle ticks all the boxes. She's glamorous, hugely popular and loves the show too," a source told the newspaper. "Producers are desperate to try and sign her up.

"They know that getting her to agree would be a massive coup and are hoping she will do it.

"She's always enjoyed the show and was wanted when she was on Corrie. But it was always very tricky to get over the line because of the BBC and ITV rivalry."

Keegan's husband Mark Wright is a Strictly alum, having finished runner-up in the 2014 series.
