Sex and the City stars 'to get $1 million each per episode for revival'

Sex and the City's three returning stars will reportedly be paid $1 million (£730,000) an episode each for the show's upcoming revival.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will each be paid $1 million (£730,000) per episode for the upcoming Sex and the City revival, according to a report.

Over the weekend it was announced that the trio will reprise their roles from the iconic comedy drama for a 10-episode miniseries And Just Like That... for streaming service HBO Max.

The project has been met with a muted response from fans after it emerged that Kim Cattrall - aka Samantha Jones - will not be part of the new series.

According to Variety, the returning trio - all of whom are also serving as executive producers - will be paid "over $1 million" each per half-hour episode, equating to a pay packet of more than $10 million (£7.3 million) each.

Filming is due to begin in New York towards the end of Spring ahead of an expected release towards the end of the year.
