The upcoming Dexter miniseries will reportedly be set in upstate New York rather than Florida.
Michael C Hall is returning as the titular serial killer for a new 10-episode season, eight years after the original run ended with a series finale that was widely derided by fans.
The show was based in Miami for its first eight seasons but according to TV Line, when it returns the action will come from the fictional town of Iron Lake in upstate New York.
The small-town location could suggest that Dexter is still working as a lumberjack, which was revealed as his new occupation after he faked his own death in the series finale.
Meanwhile, a slew of casting announcements have been made ahead of filming beginning next month, with The Mandalorian's Julia Jones playing Iron Lake's first Native American chief of police Angela Bishop.
Johnny Sequoyah will star as Bishop's "brash and opinionated" teen daughter Audrey, while Alano Miller is police sergeant Logan and Jack Alcott will portray Randall, who "has a meaningful encounter" with Dexter.
The show is expected to return later this year.
