Ventura County Sheriff's Office have resumed their search for actress Naya Rivera following her disappearance in Lake Piru on Wednesday afternoon.
The 33-year-old Glee star is presumed to have drowned after jumping into the lake for a swim but failing to resurface.
Police began an immediate rescue operation once the alarm was raised but were forced to abandon their efforts overnight due to poor conditions.
The search began again at first light on Thursday, although authorities announced that the mission had changed from a rescue to an operation to recover her body.
A team of more than 100 search experts, including specialist divers, were brought in from around the wider Los Angeles area but she had still not been located by the time the search was suspended again on Thursday night.
Conditions in the Lake Piru area are expected to remain clear throughout Friday, with temperatures reaching a peak of 97F/36C.
