Police have confirmed that the search for missing actress Naya Rivera will be suspended again tonight due to poor weather conditions.
The 33-year-old Glee star is thought to have drowned in Lake Piru, 50 miles north-west of Los Angeles, on Wednesday afternoon after renting a boat for a daytrip with her four-year-old son Josey Hollis Dorsey.
Once the three-hour rental had expired, the boat rental company set out to find the vessel and discovered it adrift with Josey asleep alone on board.
Around 100 people are now involved in the search for Rivera, including specialist divers who are contending with severely limited visibility in the water.
Speaking to the media amid the ongoing recovery efforts, Ventura County's Sheriff Captain Eric Buschow revealed: "We're going to keep people here through the night, we're not going to leave the area. [But] people being in the water searching - we'll suspend at dark, then we will resume tomorrow at daybreak."
He added: "Our thoughts and our prayers go out to all of the Rivera family. This is a terrible tragedy for all of them and we hope to bring closure for that family."
The search is expected to continue until 8pm PT (4am UK) and resume at around 5.50am PT (1.50pm UK) on Friday.
