Race Across The World to air bonus reunion episode

Race Across The World will air a bonus reunion episode after this Sunday's finale.

Race Across The World will air a special reunion episode next week, it has been confirmed.

The BBC Two reality series sees five couples attempt to travel between two locations with a limited budget and without using aeroplanes, with a cash prize of £20,000 for the pairing that reaches the finish line first.

This year's series has featured a race from Mexico City to the world's most southerly city, Ushuaia in Argentina, and will conclude this Sunday.

The reunion episode, which will also feature unseen footage from the race, was filmed before the coronavirus lockdown.

"It was the first time the contestants had all been together since doing the trip," a source told the Daily Star. "It was a chance to all get round a table and talk about their highs and lows.

"They experienced everything from health problems to money woes, so they had a lot to talk about and a lot to get off their chests."

The reunion episode will air Sunday, May 3 on BBC Two.
