Michael Jackson has urged fans to "be smart and stay safe" as the coronavirus crisis deepens around the world.
More than 16,300 people have died worldwide as a result of contracting the disease, while over 372,000 people have tested positive.
Jackson died of a cardiac arrest in 2009 at the age of 50 but his Twitter account remains active and today it posted an inspiring message alongside a picture of the late singer wearing a face mask.

The tweet caused some confusion among Jackson's followers, with one replying: "how you still tweeting when yo ass dead"
Another wrote: "im telling god u snook a phone up there"
Jackson is one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 350 million records worldwide.
