WandaVision to launch with two episodes

Disney+ confirms that the first two episodes of WandaVision will be released together this Friday.

Disney+ has confirmed that the highly-anticipated new Marvel series WandaVision will launch with two episodes this week.

The new show features Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) in a bizarre sitcom-like setting in a quiet American town although as the series progresses, they soon realise that all is not as it seems.

The series was originally thought to be running to six episodes, but it was recently revealed that nine episodes have been produced - and now Disney+ has confirmed that the first two will drop on Friday.

New episodes will then be released every Friday thereafter until March 5, with another new series - The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - launching just a fortnight later.

WandaVision is said to have been made with a budget of over $200 million (£148 million) - more than the budgets of eight of the last 11 big-screen Marvel movies.
