Killing Eve's Jodie Comer 'in line for Mad Max prequel'

Killing Eve star Jodie Comer is reportedly in talks to take over from Charlize Theron as Furiosa in a Mad Max prequel movie.

Killing Eve star Jodie Comer is reportedly in the frame to play the lead in the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel movie.

The new film will be centred around the character Furiosa, who was played by Charlize Theron in 2015's Fury Road - itself a reboot of the '70s and '80s Mad Max franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers had considered using de-ageing technology on Theron for the prequel but have now decided to cast a new actress in the role.

The publication says that Comer, 27, is director George Miller's preferred choice to play the younger Furiosa after impressing as Villanelle on three seasons of the cult BBC drama.

Miller is also thought to be working on plans for another movie centred on Mad Max, who was played by Tom Hardy in Fury Road.
