Piers Morgan has confirmed that the government are continuing to boycott Good Morning Britain as England prepares to enter a second lockdown.
The government have not made any ministers available to the ITV breakfast show for more than six months following a number of fiery interviews between Morgan and multiple ministers - including health secretary Matt Hancock - during the early days of the first lockdown.
Ministers have continued to appear on other morning shows, such as BBC Breakfast and Kay Burley's show on Sky News, while more challenging interview experiences such as Newsnight and Channel 4 News have also been shunned.
Despite England heading into a four-week lockdown on Thursday, Morgan announced on Twitter that the government would still not be changing its stance over communicating to GMB viewers.
"We asked the Govt if they'd put any minister up for interview about the public health emergency on tomorrow's @GMB & they declined," he wrote.
"This will be the 188th consecutive day they've boycotted our show. What are you scared of @BorisJohnson - being held accountable?"
Morgan and co-host Susanna Reid will be working a rare five-day week on GMB this week as they cover both the lockdown and the fallout of Tuesday's US election.
