The Chase, Tipping Point return with new episodes

ITV releases details of its new afternoon schedule, featuring new episodes of The Chase and Tipping Point, for September.

ITV will debut a new-look afternoon schedule next Tuesday, September 1, it has been confirmed.

The coronavirus pandemic meant that many of ITV's staple shows have been stuck on repeats for most of the year but production has gradually been picking up again over the summer, enabling new episodes to be broadcast.

The afternoon schedule will begin with all-new episodes of Judge Rinder at 2pm, with Rylan Clark-Neal's Supermarket Sweep - promoted from ITV2 - taking over the 3pm hour.

At 4pm there will be new episodes of Ben Shephard's Tipping Point, followed at 5pm by ratings heavyweight The Chase, returning for a new series that will feature the debut of new chaser Darragh Ennis.

September 1 will also mark the return of ITV's morning daytime talent, including Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
