10 (relatively) uncontroversial Little Britain characters who could return

SM Entertainment profiles 10 characters who could make a comeback in the rumoured revival of Little Britain.

Twelve years on from its last full series, rumours are afoot that Little Britain could be making a small-screen comeback.

In recent weeks streaming giant Netflix are said to have held talks with Matt Lucas and David Walliams about producing a brand new series of the sketch comedy.

Should the show return, many of the characters from the original series will not - with the likes of transvestite Emily Howard, Thai bride Ting Tong, xenophobic Maggie Blackamoor and social care patient Anne all in line for the chop due to sensitivity concerns.

Here, SM Entertainment takes on the tough task of finding 10 characters who might be deemed just appropriate enough to make a comeback.

Carol works a variety of different jobs throughout the series - travel agent, bank clerk, receptionist - and appears to have a disdain for her customers, often telling them "computer says no" before offering unfeasible alternatives. She has a habit of ending conversations by coughing at her disappointed customers.

Vicky Pollard

A gobby teenager who is always getting herself into trouble, Vicky explains her actions with a long-winded excuse along the lines of "yeah but no but yeah but no but..." She claims to have "six babies by seven different blokes".

Kenny Craig

Kenny is a self-centred stage hypnotist who uses his skills to his social and financial advantage, or to get away with misdemeanours. He hypnotises his subjects with the line "Look into my eyes, look into my eyes, the eyes, the eyes, not around the eyes, don't look around the eyes, look into my eyes. You're under."

Marjorie Dawes

Marjorie runs the local branch of a weight loss group called 'Fat Fighters'. She constantly reminds members of her group just how fat they are and advises that they lose weight by eating dust. Marjorie has difficulty understanding an Indian lady named Meera, asking her to repeat herself multiple times, while she also has a problem spelling the word "chocolate".

Sebastian Love

Sebastian is personal assistant to the Prime Minister and has a deep crush on his boss. His feelings for the PM lead him to wild fits of jealousy, extreme defensiveness and futile attempts at seduction.

Lou and Andy

Two of the most popular characters, wheelchair-bound Andy is looked after by his carer and best friend Lou. Unbeknown to Lou, Andy is more than capable of using his legs and often takes advantage of Lou's back being turned to partake in outrageous acts, such as water-skiing on the Thames or skinny dipping in a shark tank.

Michael Dinner

A large man who is always eating out, Michael Dinner has a habit of ordering extravagant dishes followed by a request for something much more downmarket, such as Monster Munch or Um Bongo.

Bubbles DeVere

Bubbles is an extremely large lady who believes that she is incredibly attractive and seduces men by removing all of her clothes. She has a particular penchant for champagne.

Ray McCooney

Ray is a Scottish hotel owner who addresses his customers with unnecessary riddles and believes himself to be from a bygone era. He also randomly plays the flute, much to the confusion of the hotel guests.

Harvey Pincher

Harvey is a 20-something man who is still breastfed by his mother - and occasionally his grandmother. When he wants feeding Harvey will declare "I want bitty", regardless of the social situation.
