Coronation Street has filmed what is believed to be the world's first socially-distanced stunt in scenes airing next week.
The plotline starts when Sarah (Tina O'Brien) confronts Gary (Mikey North) after Rick's watch is found in the woods.
Shocked by what he tells her, Sarah runs off to call the police - directly into the path of an oncoming car.

Chasing after Sarah, Gary is able to push her out of danger just in time but is hit by the car himself.
The original scripts had the scene taking place in the woods where Rick is buried but the coronavirus pandemic led to it being reworked, with a mannequin being used in place of Sarah in certain shots.
"This was the very first three episodes that I have filmed after lockdown," North told the official Corrie website. "We have had to alter and change things but I don't think it has lost any of its intention and hopefully it will be just as good as it would have been on location.

"I got to ride on the bonnet of the car and I was quite pleased to have the opportunity to do the stunt myself because I enjoy that part of the job but I have never done a car stunt like this before. I loved it."
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
