Phil Taylor has extended his unbeaten record against Raymond van Barneveld to nine matches by defeating the Dutchman in the last eight at the Players Championship Finals.
Taylor had an 82% success rate on doubles and earned a three-dart average of 111.58 as he cruised to a 9-2 victory in Minehead on Sunday afternoon.
The result means that Taylor has still not lost to 'Barney' since October 2011 and remains unbeaten on TV against the five-time world champion since June 2008.
Van Barneveld, who averaged a far-from-shabby 94.66, broke Taylor's throw to win the first leg of the match.
However, 'The Power' responded in kind immediately and was not broken again in the contest.
He will now face Justin Pipe in tonight's second semi-final, after the Taunton thrower overcame practice partner Gary Anderson 9-7.
The first semi, which is due to begin at 7pm, will see top seed Michael van Gerwen take on Andy Hamilton.
