Gary Anderson wins 2015 Premier League

Gary Anderson records an 11-7 victory over Michael van Gerwen to win the 2015 Premier League at London's O2 Arena.

Gary Anderson has won the 2015 Premier League title after seeing off Michael van Gerwen in the final at London's O2 Arena.

The world champion, who survived three match darts against Dave Chisnall in the semi-finals, took advantage of a number of missed doubles by Van Gerwen to run out a 11-7 victor.

Van Gerwen, who stormed back to see off Raymond van Barneveld in the last four, eased to the opening two legs of the final before Anderson hit back with three legs of his own.

The Dutchman replied with a 121 checkout but missed doubles, including seven in one leg, allowed Anderson to open up a 7-3 advantage at the interval.

Van Gerwen got back to 7-5, but three more missed darts at a double allowed Anderson to move to 8-5 and the Scot continued to hold an advantage as he established a 10-7 lead to leave him one away from the title.

Anderson watched on as Van Gerwen missed a dart at double 20 to extend the contest before returning to take out 64 to secure his second Premier League crown.
