Gary Anderson: 'The pressure is off against Stephen Bunting'

World champion Gary Anderson believes that he is under no pressure against Stephen Bunting in their Premier League clash in Dublin.

Gary Anderson has insisted that the pressure is on Stephen Bunting when they face each other in the Premier League in Dublin on Thursday night.

The 2015 PDC world champion has been in indifferent form since his triumph at Alexandra Palace, but after last week's win over Kim Huybrechts took him to second spot in the table, the Scot believes that he can relax against an opponent who is only one point above the drop zone.

The 44-year-old told PDC.tv: "I think the pressure's off me and I can relax a little bit. My darts are doing well and I was pleased to get the win in Glasgow last week.

"Stephen should have wrapped up a win against Peter last week and he'll be desperate to get the points this week so he's going to have to come out firing."

Anderson has won four of the six meetings between the two players, the last of which came on the PDC Pro Tour earlier this month.
