Mark Cavendish failed in his bid to win a second stage of this year's Tour de France by crashing out 2.6km from the end this afternoon.
Germany's Andre Greipel prevailed in the sprint finish to take the fourth stage from Abbeville to Rouen for the Lotto team.
Despite the fall, Cavendish was able to get back up and remount his bike to finish the stage.
The overall standings were unaffected by today's stage as Team Sky's Bradley Wiggins remains seven seconds adrift of current yellow jersey holder Fabian Cancellara.
