David Millar says that Lance Armstrong's appearance on Oprah Winfrey's show will only help to put forth the cyclist's side of the story about his lifetime drug abuse.

British cyclist David Millar believes that Lance Armstrong's appearance on Oprah Winfrey's show next week wil not accomplish anything.

The 41-year-old American will appear on the show to answer questions on drug abuse throughout his career.

"Only Lance would get to have his moment of truth, if that's what it will be, with Oprah Winfrey," BBC Sport quotes Millar as saying.

"It is not sitting in front of a judge or a disciplinary hearing being properly questioned about the things he has done wrong. I doubt very much it will be a proper interrogation."

Armstrong, who has always denied that he took performance-enhancing drugs, is banned from cycling for life by the International Cycling Union.
