Hamilton: 'No place in cycling for McQuaid'
Tyler Hamilton accuses Pat McQuaid of pointing fingers, shifting blame and attacking those who speak out.

Tyler Hamilton has called for UCI president Pat McQuaid to quit.

The head of the International Cycling Union called Hamilton and Floyd Landis "scumbags", adding that they have damaged the sport.

In a statement, Hamilton said: "Pat McQuaid's comments expose the hypocrisy of his leadership."

"Instead of seizing an opportunity to instil hope for the next generation of cyclists, he continues to point fingers, shift blame and attack those who speak out, tactics that are no longer effective."

Hamilton and Landis were both teammates of Lance Armstrong, and testified to the USADA that he used performance-enhancing substances.

Hamilton failed drugs tests in 2004 and 2009 and Landis was stripped of the 2006 Tour de France yellow jersey for doping.
