Team Sky's Chris Froome has won stage five of the Criterium du Dauphine to take the overall race lead.
Froome launched a late attack to catch Alberto Contador, before the two riders went on to catch stage leader Matthew Busche.
The Brit then found enough energy to outlast his rivals to seal the stage win, with Contador finishing in second and Busche in third.
The 28-year-old's effort has seen him open up a 52-second lead at the top of the standings with three stages remaining.
