Alberto Contador praises Tinkoff-Saxo's new recruit Peter Sagan

Peter Sagan is hailed as a "natural born winner" by Alberto Contador as the Spanish rider welcomes the former Cannondale star to Tinkoff-Saxo.

Alberto Contador has welcomed new signing Peter Sagan to Tinkoff-Saxo and insisted that the two can work together.

Sagan's move to the Danish team from Cannondale was confirmed yesterday.

"It is very great news, and expected, but I'm happy that it's now official," Contador said in a statement on the team's official website.

"Apart from the good relationship we have between us, Peter is also a great rider and a natural born winner. I'm sure that Peter's arrival will lead to some great things on the team."

Sagan, 24, has won the points leader's green jersey in the Tour de France for the last three years.
