David Millar "happy" to be selected for Olympic cycling team

British cyclist David Millar says that he will compete for Team GB in the Olympics if selected for the Games.

British cyclist David Millar has insisted that he will take part in this summer's London Olympic Games if selected for Team GB.

The 35-year-old, who has served a ban for doping, is available to compete following the court case that forced the British Olympic Association to drop their by-law on lifetime bans for athletes found guilty of taking illegal substances.

"I spent a lot of time thinking about it, but I've concluded that if I can be of benefit to the team, I would be happy to help," said Millar.

Meanwhile, British sprinter Dwain Chambers is also expected to compete at the Games in the capital after his ban was overturned.
