Helen Scott: 'We relished the challenge of performing at Commonwealth Games'

Helen Scott admits that she and Sophie Thornhill were keen to relish the experience of competing at the Commonwealth Games as they claimed gold on Thursday.

Helen Scott has claimed that she and Sophie Thornhill were keen to take full advantage of having the opportunity to race at the Commonwealth Games after claiming gold on Thursday.

The English were dominant throughout to win the first Para-sport title of this year's Games, and Thornhill's pilot admits that they are not sure if they will get the chance to defend their title in four years.

"We had such a great time out there," said Scott. "We don't know whether our events will be in the Commonwealth Games next time so we just want to relish it."

Thornhill and Scott beat Scotland's Aileen McGlynn and Louise Haston 2-0 in the final.
