David Warner stole the show with the bat as Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched a 22-run victory over the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
The Australian asserted his dominance early on as he combined with fellow opener Shikhar Dhawan to put on 86 for the first wicket, punishing some loose bowling from Chennai.
Warner struck 61 from 28 balls before becoming Suresh Raina's only victim, and Dhawan's run out at the hands of Ravindra Jadeja threatened to derail the innings.
However, Eoin Morgan hit two sixes in an unbeaten 32 to add some crucial runs as the Sunrisers reached 192-7 from their 20 overs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed the key wicket of Brendon McCullum in just the second over of the Chennai innings, and Dwayne Smith and Raina also departed without building the platform required.
Faf du Plessis and MS Dhoni threatened to take the Super Kings close to their target, but their inability to stay at the crease proved to be vital and only some late hitting from Dwayne Bravo and Jadeja prevented it from being a more emphatic win for the hosts.
