Rain disrupts Port Elizabeth Test

Faf du Plessis scores a century before being dismissed in the space of two balls in a rain-interrupted morning in Port Elizabeth.

Faf du Plessis managed to complete his century in a rain-disrupted morning session in Port Elizabeth as South Africa reached 289-3 at lunch on the second day of their second Test against the West Indies.

The batsman made it into three figures off the first ball of the day after a 90-minute delay while the outfield dried after showers had fallen overnight.

However, he was back in the pavilion off the next ball, edging a Jerome Taylor delivery behind to wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin.

AB de Villiers joined Hashim Amla at the crease, but added just nine before the rain returned, forcing the players back off the pitch after just over half an hour of play.
