South Africa have ended the second day of their first Test against Pakistan 411 runs ahead.
A strong start to the day saw the tourists bowled out for 49, but Graeme Smith elected not to enforce the follow on.
Dale Steyn led the attack for the hosts, taking six wickets for eight runs.
The home side made a strong start to their second innings, heading into tea 73-0, with Smith and Alviro Petersen both looking comfortable at the crease.
Half-centuries from Smith, Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers ensured that South Africa ended the day in a strong position, closing at 207-3.
Amla and De Villiers will continue for South Africa tomorrow, assuming that there is no overnight declaration.
