Pace-bowler Dale Steyn claimed his 300th Test wicket as South Africa took control of their opening Test match against New Zealand earlier today.
The 29-year-old achieved the feat as he removed Doug Bracewell for just two runs with an outswinging delivery that crashed into the stumps.
Steyn has become only the fourth South African to reach the milestone, with Allan Donald, Makhaya Ntini and Shaun Pollock also having gone beyond the 300 mark.
Steyn's achievement came on the same day that his teammate Jacques Kallis became the first South African to surpass 13,000 Test runs.
