Cricketers past and present take to Twitter to pay tribute to Mark Boucher, who was forced to retire from international cricket due to a serious eye injury.

Earlier today, South Africa wicket-keeper Mark Boucher announced his retirement from Test cricket following a serious eye injury he suffered during a tour match against Somerset at Taunton.

The veteran of 147 Tests and nearly 1,000 international dismissals was forced to prematurely end his Proteas career due to concerns over the long-term future of his sight.

Many cricketers have taken to social networking website Twitter to send well-wishes and pay tribute to the 35-year-old.
