Ab de Villiers dismayed with South Africa display in defeat to Pakistan

South Africa skipper AB de Villiers reveals that he was bitterly disappointed with his side's display in their 29-run defeat to Pakistan at the World Cup.

South Africa skipper AB de Villiers has admitted that he was dismayed with his side's performance in their 29-run defeat to Pakistan at the World Cup.

The Proteas lost their second game of the competition as they were bowled out for 202 in a rain-affected game at Auckland.

The 31-year-old is adamant that his side need to get themselves back into gear by the time that the knockout stage of the tournament begins.

De Villiers told reporters: "I hate losing. I've got nothing good to say about the team at the moment. Hopefully we have got four games left in the tournament and opportunity to lift the trophy.

"We need to approach the quarter-finals with a fresh mindset. I've got nothing good to say about performance today."

South Africa are next in action in Pool B when they face the United Arab Emirates on March 12.
