Kings XI Punjab have beaten Pune Warriors by seven wickets in their Indian Premier League encounter in Mohali.

The Warriors were put into bat first and went on to make 185 runs for the loss of four wickets from their 20 overs.

The Kings XI looked like they would not reach their target, but they rallied late to clinch the win with one ball remaining.

Aaron Finch top scored for Pune with 64, while Robin Uthappa (34), Yuvraj Singh (34) and Luke Wright (34) also helped the visitors post a healthy total.

The home side's time at the crease got off to a bad start when captain Adam Gilchrist was dismissed for just four runs, but Mandeep Singh (77) and David Miller's (80) unbeaten partnership of 128 saw them to victory following 22 from Manan Vohra.

The victory has seen them move up to third place in the Indian Premier League table.
