Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq have steadied Pakistan's innings by guiding the team to 140-3 before tea on the opening day of their first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle.
Pakistan had a wobbly opening by losing three wickets in the morning session following a delayed start.
After the dismissal of Azhar Ali (30), Khan and Misbah formed a partnership, which frustrated Sri Lanka's bowlers as they racked up a combined 99 runs.
Khan surpassed a half-century to reach the end of the afternoon session unbeaten on 77, while Misbah will also return to the crease after hitting 22 off 87 balls.
