Pakistan need 257 to win Sri Lanka ODI series

Pakistan need 257 in Colombo to open up an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match one-day international series against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan have been set a victory target of 257 to win the one-day international series against Sri Lanka.

Hosts Sri Lanka, trailing 2-1 in the five-match series, won the toss in Colombo today and chose to bat.

They got off to a poor start as Kusal Perera fell for a duck on just the second ball as Mohammad Irfan grabbed an early wicket.

A steady second-wicket stand of 109 from Tillakaratne Dilshan (50) and Lahiru Thirimanne (90) overcame the early wobble, but once the pair had fallen Sri Lanka never looked like getting near 300.

In the end, they lost all but one wicket and finished on 256-9, with Irfan the top bowler by taking three wickets for 50 runs in his 10 overs.
