Dimuth Karunaratne and Kumar Sangakkara will resume at the crease during the afternoon session unbeaten on 34 and 12 respectively.

Pakistan struck in the 15th over of the day when Kaushal Silva was caught by Sarfraz Ahmed off the bowling of Mohammad Talha to bring an end to an opening stand of 31 runs between him and Karunaratne.

However, the Sri Lankans saw off the rest of the morning session without facing much trouble.
