Pakistan in control against Sri Lanka

Pakistan head into lunch on day three of the first Test match against Sri Lanka with a lead of 177 runs.

Pakistan have been bowled out for 383 runs on day three of the first Test match against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi.

Younus Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq were the stars of the show for the Pakistanis in their first innings, scoring 136 and 135 respectively.

Dav Whatmore's side resumed play on the third day on 327-4 – a lead of 123 - and extended their score to 383 before they were all bowled out.

Shaminda Eranga and Rangana Herath took three wickets each as Sri Lanka struggled to contain the opposition batsmen.

The Sri Lankans will resume play after lunch on 2-0 with Dimuth Karunaratne and Kaushal Silva at the crease.
