Former England batsman Marcus Trescothick has committed his future to Somerset by signing a new three-year contract.
The length of the deal has suggested that the 36-year-old will now end his playing career at the County Ground in Taunton.
"It's always nice to sign a new contract with Somerset," he told the club's official website. "I have been here at the club for 20 years now and this is just another extension to my playing career.
"I'm delighted to sign this new contract which takes me to 40, which is my first target and we will go from there."
Trescothick made his debut for Somerset in 1993.
