Worcestershire sign West Indian Andre Russell to replace Jacob Oram for the FL t20.

Worcestershire have signed West Indian Andre Russell for this year's FL t20 after Jacob Oram was forced to return to New Zealand.

Jamaican-born Russell has been playing for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, where he has proved to be a useful all-rounder.

"I have always wanted to play county cricket," said Russell.

34-year-old Oram was due to make his debut on 28 June, but has returned home to undergo a hernia operation.

The Kiwi all-rounder added: "I'm extremely disappointed to miss out on the opportunity to represent Worcestershire.

"Hopefully I can fulfil my county cricket playing ambition next season."
