Former England bowler David Lawrence is unsure whether Sean Abbott will ever return to cricket following the death of Phil Hughes.
The 25-year-old passed away earlier today having failed to overcome a serious head injury which was inflicted when he was struck by a ball bowled by Abbott on Tuesday.
Many from the world of cricket have given their support to the New South Wales all-rounder, although Lawrence believes that Abbott may be too traumatised to play again.
"I know what Sean is going through," he told BBC Sport. "My thoughts go out to him as well - because whether he will come back from this or not, personally I don't think he'll play cricket again.
"When you turn and run in to bowl again, you are just going to have those images in your head. Will he ever be the same bowler again? I don't know."
Hughes played 26 Tests and 25 one-day internationals for Australia.
