New Zealand captain Brendan McCullum has admitted that he is "incredibly happy" to see his side beat Sri Lanka in the ICC Champions Trophy.
The Kiwis got their campaign off to a winning start in Cardiff on Sunday with a one-wicket victory over their Group A rivals.
"I'm incredibly happy to get the points," McCullum told Sky Sports News. "Our record against hasn't been great against Sri Lanka but our bowlers and fielders were outstanding.
"Obviously we panicked with the bat but the wicket was stopping a bit and with their bowlers it was always going to be tough, but in the end all's well that ends well."
New Zealand return to action on Wednesday when they take on Australia at Edgbaston.
