India have reached 119-2 in reply to Australia on the third morning of the first Test match at the Adelaide Oval.
Australia declared on 517-7 before the start of play, but it was India who started the day on the front foot thanks to a fluent 25 from Shikhar Dhawan.
However, the economical Ryan Harris would strike to bowl Dhawan with the tourists on just 30 in the eighth over of the innings.
Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara looked confident at the crease in a partnership of 81, but their progress was halted before the lunch interval.
Mitchell Johnson made the key contribution by getting Vijay caught behind for 53 to bring stand-in captain Virat Kohli to the crease in the penultimate over of the session.
Kohli will resume on 3* after the interval, alongside Pujara, who is on 34*.
