Virat Kohli scored a century to help defending champions India reach 300-7 at the end of their innings against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval this morning.
Pakistan will be in a buoyant mood when play resumes, however, having restricted their opponents to 27 runs off the last five overs in their opening game of the World Cup.
For the first 45 overs, India were in complete control thanks to 74 from vice-captain Shikar Dhawan, 72 from Suresh Raina and 109 from Kohli, but then Pakistan began to wrestle back control.
Three fell in three balls following some fine bowling at the death. Ravindra Jadeja (3), Ajinkya Rahane (0) and eventually Kohli all departing to leave their side on 300.
Rohit Sharma (15) had earlier been sent packing by Sohail Khan, who took 5-53 to lead the comeback.
