Michael Carberry registered a half-century as Hampshire beat Kent Spitfires by 22 runs in the T20 Blast clash at the Ageas Bowl tonight.
Opening batsman Carberry enjoyed a 73-run game to help the South Division leaders set a target of 171.
James Adams also enjoyed a productive evening at the Rose Bowl by recording 47, while Owais Shah (11) and Chris Wood (12*) followed in the scoring stakes.
However, despite the best efforts of captain Robert Key, who hit an unbeaten 89, the Spitfires fell short of their target and finished on 149-4 as Danny Briggs took three of the four wickets.
